Sparrows, which once frolicked in our backyards, have now become rare—a stark reminder of the changing state of our environment. To celebrate nature and biodiversity, Alive Charitable Trust, in collaboration with Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park, has organized various competitions under the ‘Let’s Save Sparrow Mission 2026’ (in Marathi ‘Chala Chiu Vachavu Abhiyan’). This marks the 11th year of the initiative.

Competition Categories:

• Sparrow Drawing Competition: Participants should submit a single drawing on A3 size paper using pencils or any coloring medium. (Open to all age groups).
• Sparrow Story Writing: A self-written fictional or experiential story about sparrows (Word limit: 500 to 1,000 words). Available in Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati, or English. (Age: 18 years and above).
• Sparrow Poetry Competition: A self-written poem about sparrows in Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati, or English. No word limit. (Age: 18 years and above).
• Sparrow Rangoli Competition: Create a sparrow-themed rangoli at your doorstep or courtyard using traditional Rangoli, eco-friendly materials such as flowers, grains, or natural powders. The message “ALIVE – Let’s Save Sparrow Mission” must be included at the bottom. Display the rangoli for as long as possible to raise awareness among your neighbors. (Age: 12 years and above).

Rules and Guidelines:

·         Stories and poems must be typed in Google or Unicode fonts (Word file).

·         All entries must be original and unpublished. Plagiarized or AI-generated content will be strictly disqualified.

·         Competition Period: February 6 to February 15, 2026.

·         Entry Fee: None.

How to Participate: Participants can upload their entries at https://alivetrust.in/sparrow Special prizes will be awarded to schools with the highest participation.
