World Sparrow Day Competitions

Organised by Alive Charitable Trust, Pune
1. Eligibility
- The competition is open to all individuals unless specified otherwise in the category guidelines.
- Entries may be submitted individually only (no group submissions unless explicitly mentioned).
- Participants below 18 years of age must have consent from a parent or guardian.
2. Originality of Work
- All submissions must be original and created by the participant.
- The work should not have been previously published, awarded, or submitted to any other competition.
- Any form of plagiarism, AI-generated content (unless explicitly allowed), or copied artwork/text will lead to immediate disqualification.
3. Theme
- All entries must be relevant to World Sparrow Day, sparrows, birds, biodiversity, urban ecology, or related conservation themes.
- Entries not aligned with the theme may be disqualified.
4. Submission Guidelines
- Each participant may submit one entry per category, unless stated otherwise.
- Paintings must be submitted as clear digital photographs or scans.
- Articles and poems must be submitted in readable digital formats (PDF / DOC / plain text).
- The organisers reserve the right to reject illegible, incomplete, or inappropriate submissions without any explanation.
5. Copyright & Usage Rights
- Copyright remains with the creator of the submitted work.
- By submitting an entry, participants grant Alive Charitable Trust a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual right to:
- Display, publish, and share the work on its website, social media platforms, exhibitions, reports, and other outreach or educational materials.
- Use the work for non-commercial or commercial activities of the Trust.
- No separate permission or compensation will be required for such usage.
6. Credits & Attribution
- Wherever feasible, the participant’s name and category will be credited when the work is displayed or published.
- Due to space or format constraints, credit may sometimes be provided in a consolidated manner.
7. Content Restrictions
- Submissions must not contain:
- Offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or inappropriate material.
- Content promoting harm to wildlife, people, or the environment.
- The organisers reserve the right to remove or reject any submission deemed unsuitable.
8. Judging & Results
- Entries will be evaluated by a jury appointed by the organisers.
- The judges’ decision will be final and binding.
- No correspondence regarding scores or evaluation will be entertained.
9. Disqualification
- The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any participant found violating the terms and conditions at any stage of the competition.
10. Modification & Cancellation
- Alive Charitable Trust reserves the right to modify the rules, deadlines, or prizes, or cancel the competition in exceptional circumstances.
- Any updates will be communicated through official channels.
11. Acceptance of Terms
- Submission of an entry implies full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
